Dear All,

The last beta-version of the 3D-Move Analysis (ver. 2.0) was released in February, 2013. After releasing, there have been some problems and questions related to pavement responses and performance models.  The important problems which were fixed in this new version 2.1 are listed below:

  1. Displaying of error messages when using performance calculation option with the International System of Units (SI).
  2. Improper use of the dynamic modulus (E*) master curve developed in SI units with the performance models.
  3. Installation of the software on 64 bit Windows operating system.
  4. The slight differences in responses calculated by 3D-Move version 1.2 and version 2.0 for dynamic load analysis cases.
  5. Modification of traffic information input section (eliminating unnecessary input values which created confusion to users).

Finally, it is highly recommended to all users to use the latest version (2.1) especially in cases of pavement performance analysis.  Do not attempt to open any of the files created with older versions in the new version 2.1 (due to the new imposed changes to traffic input).

Dear Dr.Elie Hajj,

Why is 3D-Move Analysis 2.1 not available on the download page

Dear roadcivil

I think the version 2.1 still have some problems. I used the same inputs (1.2 and 2.1) but different results

You should be able to download Version 2.1 from the ARC website. We are not aware of an issue with the download. Did you try to refresh your screen? what type of browser are you using?

For static analysis, there should be no difference in pavement responses between the two versions. For dynamic analysis a slight difference between the two versions (1.2 and 2.1) may exist because of the changes made to the asphalt mixture dynamic modulus estimation.  The pavement responses from version 2.1 are supposed to be more accurate than version 1.2. Please let us know if your observations are not consistent with the above description.

Dear Pro.
Dear Dr.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.],

Thank you very much
This is a great program, but I also saw a few wrong problem:
- Layer Temperature in Project Information on the right is not correct,
- The unit of principal strain is still Kpa

This program runs slightly slow
Have a good time, with best wishes for you

Regards
